KITTEN TALK 12: Sexual Curiousity
Happy New Year Kittens!
I hope 2023 has been going well for you all so far.
Today’s topic really came from my mom was organizing the house around and she found a book she bought me a long time ago called “ It’s Perfectly Normal” by Robbie E. Harris , I’ll insert a picture below :
She must of bought me this book when I was maybe 10-11 years old, and that’s puberty age. I remember reading through it and blushing at all the images, but I’m so glad she bought me it. One thing about my mom though we don’t always see eye to eye , she was always the type to answer questions no matter how embarrassing they may be. I remember one night reading this book and asking her random questions about porn LMAO.
Though she bought me a few other books , another favorite was “ The Care and Keeping of You” and this was more geared towards personal hygiene, periods etc ( if I remember correctly) but both were great in my opinion.
This really brought back nostalgia for me. I just look back at little old me educating myself and how that interest in sexual education and health never went away, and I can express and teach people through PrettySub.
Looking back though, I can see a lot of these books were frowned upon and a lot of my school friends probably would of been freaked out ( their parents just as equally or worse) that someone my age was reading books like that.
But I’m glad I grew up in a home environment that was more open to educating us rather than hiding or shaming the curiosity ( believe me there was some times , but I feel we were in a more open environment compared to other kids)
